Court Birdies started with two friends who play a lot of badminton. Every game meant a 40 minute drive to the edge of the city, so in 2026 we opened four courts here in Surrey instead.
It's a badminton club and nothing else. No gym floor, no membership contract. You book a court online, pay at the desk, and play. If you forget your racket we'll rent you one.
Four synthetic badminton courts are the main event, but we built the space for the time between games too. Beside the courts there's an artificial turf area with chairs and benches where you can sit, stretch and watch the next rally while you wait for your slot.
Casual groups of friends, families looking for something to do together on a weekend, and players who want a regular game. We've run leagues at the club, and we organise drop-in sessions through our WhatsApp group, which is the easiest way to find a game if you don't have a full four.

No favourites and no held-back courts. Regulars and first-timers use the same booking page and pay the same prices.
Loud is fine. Mean is not. Help the new player, make room for the kid, and give the court back on time.
A lot of it happens off the court: finding a doubles partner on the turf, or booking the rematch before you leave.
